I`m goin to mount a go-pro camera in there soon and I`ll have a video and pics later and if this isn`t the solution, I have another hood and it will get a cowl.........

Nobody is trying to rain on your parade here or trying to say you are doing something wrong. We are only saying that all this stuff you are trying to figure out, has already been figured out. If you had ever seen a car in a wind tunnel with a smoke wand going, you would easily understand why the holes in the back of the scoop helped

How about the scoop on my dart? I think it's a 70's style pro stock. Do these work well? Could be an option instead of the cowl

For what it's worth I run a 5" 67 Hemi style scoop.I use it for carb clearance. I've run it it both sealed and unsealed. It is about 1.5-2 mph faster with it sealed. I also tested running my blown street car w/o air cleaners(no scoop sticking out of the hood 6"-7"),it killed it. Did not like the air just blowing over the open base plate. The thought of taping it off and using under hood air or air system from the inner headlamps is an interesting idea.

John put one of the high demon scoops on your car.I bought one of the aar 4" ones and added another 2" to mine it seems to work fine and all my chevy friend even said it looks better than the cowl hood.
