I installed an alterktion in my 70 GTX and it was a piece of cake. I am not done with the build yet so I cannot say how it handles but I am positive it is going to be awesome! All the guys with them in A Bodies rave about it.

Unless you are considering swapping out the entire front suspension for something specifically designed to work with a rack, I'd advise against a simple R&P conversion and install a Borgeson steering box instead. It bolts in easier, doesn't loose turning radius, avoids adding bump steer, is smaller and lighter than the original box, and its feel is probably as close to a R&P as you can get with a steering box.

Slightly OT, at the PRI show I saw my first "herringbone" R&P, for those that have everything

Reality check, that half the population is smarter then 50% of the people and it's a constantly contested fact.

X2 for the Borgeson steering box. Bolts right in and gives you that "feel"

The reduced turning radius and bump steer issues alone should be carefully considered. The new borg box offers precision and feel that was never available in the past.
