I put my side marker light housings in a few weeks ago and used the correct reproduction cone nuts. The studs that are cast into the bezel appeared fine before installation and I was using a nut driver and didn't crank on them at all but they never seemed to tighten. I am gonna pull them apart in the next few days to see if it stripped them as I fear. As you can appreciate they are already painted so I would really prefer not to replace them. Does anyone know a cure for this? I am considering something to build up the stud and triying again, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance, Kevin

On a 70 2 of the studs are replaceable and they are fine, but 2 are part of the casting like an emblem. You can see them in the auction below. I thought about JB weld just not sure how it will hold up as the nut cuts into it. http://www.ebay.com/itm/70-CUDA-REAR-MAR...9fc&vxp=mtr
