Hello and thanks for looking

my '71 imperial has a bad brake light switch

it looks like this

i can find similar enough switches, but none with the pigtail.

any ideas on where to get one or another part I could use?

You might solder on a new pigtail/connector (even if slightly different) to your new similar switch. Or even a different type of male/female connector(s) at the end of the pigtail if need be

That looks like a cruise control equipped brake light switch which is different than a non cruise car. You can do what Robert said and just add the right connectors to the pig tail to attach it to a replacement 4 terminal switch.

Chrysler part# is 2947798, in case you want to go for an NOS one.

Probably easier/cheaper though, to get the aftermarket one shown above by gtx6970.
