The car in question: 67 Barracuda convertible 273 Commando/904/7.25 NON-Formula S car. I am rebuilding the front end for a friend and I am blasting and painting tonight. I would like it to resemble correct. I just cant bring myself to paint it all black regardless of the car or situation. That is unless it was all black. Thanks in advance, Kevin

Draglink semi gloss black (dipped) Center link - natural - no paint.
Tie rod ends natural cast tie rod sleeves semi gloss black (cant tell dipped or not) Sleeves and clamps/bolts are usually zinc phosphate plated - never painted. Sometimes the sleeves are bare natural.
pitman arm natural cast idler arm natural cast Spindle natural cast lower ball joint natural cast strut rod natural steel strut rod washers natural steel - They are plated...usually silver cad...sometimes an olive plating.
lower control arm natural steel and cast cosmoline dipped within a few inches of the ball joint upper control arm information tells me/suggest semi gloss black but when cleaning and soda blasting I was no evidence of paint I have seen some black - but the great majority are natural....with and without cosmoline
backing plate drum black phosphate (zinc phosphate) backing plate disc semi gloss black ?? caliper natural cast drum/disc natural cast tortion bars semi gloss (dipped) They were original full black
sway bar semi gloss sway bar backets semi gloss sway bar links unsure K member semi gloss gear box natural cast/aluminum
what did I miss?
First - I don't have a '67 but I would imagine 69-71 stuff used basically the same approach. I have added some remarks on the ones that I think are different than what you posted.

backing plate disc semi gloss black ??
Are you talking about the disc brake dust shields? I've got some off of a 72 that don't look painted.

Thank you Fish, the more info the better, hopefully it will help someone else in the future. I could see most 67-69 As being the same but I would wonder about 70 and up Es. Although I will say that most of what I have found is consistent with my AAR. I have also seen but didn't add that the backing plates on the front can be what I believe is oliver as well.
Burdar, you are correct, I am talking about the dust sheild. You are also correct on that some in the 70s were galvanized and some were painted.
