Got about 1/8" gap on both sides ( measured without any gaskets in place ) between my Victor 340 and aluminum Edelbrock heads using .051" MLS head gaskets. Does anyone make spacers ( or extra thick gaskets)for stock configuration ports? Going to a thinner head gasket will create quench clearance issues. Thanks, John

Far as I've seen you'll need to double up on a pair of .062" gaskets and end up with .124" The ones I offer are silicone beaded and will add .008" to the .062" (.070") x 2 = .140" Hope this helps

Could copy a gasket onto a 1/16" aluminum plate. It would cut & smooth pretty quick.
Leaning in that direction
So you have an 1/8" (.125") gap. You will still need two gaskets, one on each side of the plate, no?
In my estimation your gap .125" - .062" gasket leaves .063" and the thinnest material I offer for the other side is .015" leaves you with a .048" thick plate. Does not seem worth the effort to me but it's your motor.
I had a brain fart and had my machinist mill the intake side of my heads at the wrong angle. I made a plate and have a .031" gasket on one side and .031" on the other between the plate and head. At one time I had used a combination of .062" and .015" gaskets.

We just had the same issue and we did what Greg recommended. We glued two gaskets together for each side and solved the problem, quick and easy.Chrysler and MR Gasket used to make gaskets extra thick,.090,and .125.We like the quality gaskets that Greg makes and we have done the same on Hemis and wedges. We have glued .030 and .060 to get .090 and .060 and .060 to get .125 gaskets. The thick gaskets from Chrysler and Mr Gasket look like multiple gaskets laminated together also.
Who makes an .030 gasket for a standard port small block?

he has a blow thru blower building boost does not what to blow the thick gasket out

I had to do the same thing with my W5's. I don't think the blower would blow the gasket out once it's properly clamped. If it does it would blow a single gasket out as well.

We use thick gaskets on our Blown alcohol hemi with a 14-71 blower. The pressure should go to the cylinders not build up in the intake. With proper clamping and occasional retorquing it should be the same as any gasket.I wouldn't recommend it in situations requiring more than .125+-.Using a thin plate and two thin gaskets can be an issue also.We see the thin metal valley gaskets with two thin gaskets that are used on some big blocks leak and have to have globs of silicone and other sealers to seal.
I was also thinking of going with a 1/8" spacer and gluing it directly to the manifold ( no gasket ) and then going with one .062" gasket between the spacer plate and the head??
Just one of many different ways to solve an issue Greg's suggestion was the quick, easy and cheap or KISS method.Your suggestion is viable if you have access to machinery to preciesly make a spacer.I would try the KISS approach first.

Here is the set of 1/8" thick manifold spacers "Jerry" on this web sight / thread machined for me. Along with a set of .060" gaskets, they fit perfect.
