Get a can of silicone spray, and your problem will be over.Use it first to get the boot on, cut your wire, strip, crimp, then spray again on the wire, spread it lightly with your fingers, and poof...on they go..

I was going to recommend DL hand cleaner Silicone spray is what the wire manufacturers use from what I recall.
DL hand cleaner is also excellent for cleaning your wires

I use a combination of my wire crimper and that black doohickey they supply you in the box to use with a vise.
I cut it to length, strip off the insulation, bend the center wire back, put on the plug terminal, crimp it down then I spray WD-40 into the boot and slide it on..
which boots are you using ? the short 45º angle ones or the 3" long straight ones?
