When was th elast year of the left-hand threads on the left side lug studs/nuts on Mopars?

my 70 aarcuda has left hand threads...my 71 Duster does not..my 71 dart does not..

Parts book shows 1970 as the last year for LH threads. My own experience is the same. In 1973 I bought a '71 Demon 340, it had all RH threads. My '70 Swinger 340 I bought in 1974 from the original owner had LH threads.

my 72 D200 has them, the 72 B300 motorhome i scrapped had them also.

I agree 70.But with Ma never say never.I had a 70 Imp built in July.Had rights all around and the guy was OE buyer.I also had a 67 Fury that had a poly motor from the factory.Supposed to be 66 for the last year.The Fury was an early build car and all OE.Rocky

Yes for cars. Trucks I know through 73. My dad bought a D100 and a W200 new from our local dealer in 73 and both had LH lugs. I still own the W200.

I have seen them on 72 Darts, so I don't think you can say 70 as everything changed in 73, so I will say 1972.


The funny thing about science is that if you change one miniscule parameter you change the entire outcome to the way you want it.

Interesting. I have a couple 71's and a 73 A in the yard. I'll have a looksee.
All my 71 B's are RH including my 71RR built 10/70.

Of course I don't know the history of the 71-72 cars that had the left hand threads, they were drum brake cars and someone could have put used drums on it from 70 or earlier, but the rear axles were also left hand...
