Is either type any better ?
Going on stage V big valve heads. I scrapped the idea of Millinium Heads.

I like Barton's setup. Rocker geometry is a breeze to get right. It's why he is back on top in Hemi Super Stock.

All depends on where your at on teh power spectrum...looking for every oz of power (class racing type engine) available and turning some decent RPM then Barton is the way to go. If you are running a bracket type or street engine then I'd say Stage V are what you should go with. The difference in realized power is negletable by teh seat of teh pants. Or if you want to brag on your parts then go with Bartons 'cause they are jewlery!

I run the Barton rockers. I never tried anything else. When I built my motor 10 years ago they were the best that were available. I looked hard for an alternative because I couldn't believe how much they cost. I think they were $2500 for the set.
I've had them for 10 years and drive my car on the street and race at the track. I've never had to adjust them. Every time I check them they are where I set them.
I run a 750 lift roller cam.

The price between Barton and Stage 5 isn't a substantial amount, about $500 so it's a personal preference too.

There are numerous advantages to the Barton rocker system.

With the T&D bartons you don't have take everything apart but the stage Vs will handle a ton of power and revs. I went with the Barons because I got a good deal.

I bought the Stage V rockers a few years ago. I don't have too many street miles and only 6 or so strip passes. So far the oiling has not been an issue as it is on other shaft rocker sets that seem to need push rod oiling to correct.
At the time I bought mine the T&D Barton rockers were a lot more expensive. Perhaps the price gap has narrowed?
So far I have no complaints with the Stage V . Cam is a .670 solid roller.

I have both STAGE V and the Barton set-up. If you are looking for high rpm shifts then go with Barton. I run STAGE V on my 604" and they are just fine, I shift at 7100.

How many passes per year do you put on your valvetrain? I will be shifting at 7200 rpm's and it's going to be a weekly bracket car. I need longevity.

2 yrs ago I made about a 100 passes, the last year not many for a few different reasons. Longevity shouldn't be a problem with either. your consumables will be valve springs not rockers.

If you can afford the T&D's buy them and don't look back. Less issues, better system ect...
Well worth the extra

To be honest if you're having issues with stage V rockers, something else is wrong.

Definitely not without modification. You may be able to if you modify.
