Anyone have a process or place that does a nice job restoring a/c hoses and fittings? Want them all to fit as they did origianlly with new hose to eliminate leaks. Did a search already but didn't see a solid way of restoring them.

I did this about 18 months ago....I sent them to a guy here in TX...he removed the OE hose ends, blasted, painted, then re-installed new lines and shipped them back to me...his work was incredible and about as close to OE as I think can be got...

it wasn't cheap....but well worth it...he's in San Antonio, TX

my hoses were unique because I didn't want any late-model aluminum crimped ends...I wanted all OE...and for the most part, he got it done

I restored a 70 RT/SE with air about 2 years ago.. Sent all the hoses to Classic Auto Air down in Fla.. The changed all the hoses to be R 134 compliant replated the ends ect.. The looked and worked fantastic.
Wasn't cheap as I remember tho either 700 or 900 bucks.
Might want to give them a call and inquire..1-877-342-5526

Simple, pressure test them, have them glass bead blasted, and find a place to re plate the ends. The plating does not stick to the rubber.

Thanks for all the replies. The hardest part to this job has been finding all the hoses. I think I'll go the route of testing and re-plating for now. I have plenty of R12 if something doesn't work out.
