Anyone know if a 16x8 inch rim with 4 inches of backspacing will fit on the front of a 72 Duster, it will be with 73 Duster big bolt brakes. Also the tires are 245/45ZR16.
Also another option is a 17x8 with 5.5 backspacing, any idea about that on the front?

I have 17X8 mustang wheels on the front of my 68 Barracuda, they have a 5.72" bs and fit fine. I'm using the late disk brake setup on my car as well. I don't think the 4" backspace will work, the tire/wheel will stick out too far, the OE spacing is 4.5" Remember measure twice as these are old mass produced cars and they do vary. HTH, Steve

Thanks, I have a set of 17x8 with 5.5" BS Torq Thrust 2's on the back of my Duster( it has a wider F-Body big bolt rear). I'm about to put a disk brake setup off a 73 Duster on to add disk brakes and add the big bolt patern. I found a used set of 16x8's with a 4"BS and was wondering if if would work. But if it wont I'll just wait till I get the disk brakes on and try my 17x8's on the front, cause I'd like to go wider in the rear anyway( its got the springs moved in 3").
