ok guy's I got my trans for my 81 d150 an I want to install the new valve body I bought from a member on here, the 1 I bought has a tf-3 kit installed, I have never messed with this so if ya have a step by step pdf or something that would be sweet lol.. the tranny is already removed from the truck.

i do not, I got a Hayne's manual for a dodge truck floating around some where in my box of stuff, I had a guy that was going to do it for me but with time running out for the car show in august an him blowing me off I cant wait any longer

just be careful of the neutral safety switch when putting it back in. the little plastic piece on the valve body is fragile and breaks easily, ask me how I know.

that's a problem because I don't know how to remove 1. my Hayne's give's zero info on the job so any 1 got some info I can use??

Go to the shift kit manufacturers website, you should be able to download instructions.

There may be some things you have to do in the case too.

If it has a 727 buy this book!

I had never touched a transmission and I put a TF2 in my 727 and would of never gotten the job done with just the transgo directions. It's simple particularly with the trans out of the car as you said it is.

The video in the link below shows the VB removal procedure, the tailhousing has been removed so it's easier but to make the removal easier with the tail installed place the shifter in Park (lever all the way back) and turn the output shaft until it clicks into Park.

The TF-3 mod includes mods to the case, not just the valve body.
