John it not a dana but it mounts the same way (I'm pretty sure)... but this one I made because I couldnt find anyone that offered it for a 8 3/4 EDIT on the pick up I have the bolt holes for the snubber and used them but you can drill and tap the housing pretty easy and bend up a bracket easy

I have the same issue on my Dana so its still laying in the box. My racepak still gives me lots of good info but I know I'm missing out on a lot more.

I have mine mounted off one of the pinion snubber holes, if you have that style of Dana. If not what about a bracket bolted to the webbing on the side?
Photobucket sucks

I will assume he doesnt have the snubber holes... all I can suggest John is to drill and tap the housing... I've seen a couple of dana's done that way... they had 2 1/4 X20 bolts holding it on

You can either tap the housing and make a bracket or make a bracket that reaches all the way from the tube. The other way to get a speed sensor in the car is to mount one on the transmission yoke and make a bracket off the tranny.
The problem with mounting it on the trans and slip yoke on the drive shaft moving in and out... if its on the pinion yoke they stay as a constant to each other
The few people I have talked to that have done it in this fashion have not had any issues. The yoke does not move enough to move the tone ring out of range of the sensor. I was looking into doing this for my Cutlass since I have a Strange S60.

When I installed my Racepak I was late to head out of state for a race. I took a 1"X1" square tube and welded a tab on the end so the sensor is adjustable. The tube is welded to the web on the side of the pinion snout. Never had any issues.

Mine's like Leon's only it's bolted to the web. Cheap quick and easy. Doug
