Painter will be painting the Black stripes on the Hood tomorrow and I have a couple of questions.
1.Hood and Inserts already painted B5 Blue. Are the Hood inserts painted
Black like the Hood or body color(B5) Blue?
2.What color is the aluminum block off plate painted? Orange?
2. How wide is the painted part in the center of the hood?
Probably be more questions.I am picking the RR up Wed and will share some pics then! Thanks for the help!

Here's something that someone pointed out to me about the placement of the stripes.....The center cowl vent slots for lack of a better term that are not painted black equal 28 slots with 22 slots painted black by each stripe....I think that is correct.

Need to count the painted and unpainted (not again with the painted/unpainted thing ) vent slotted openings on a survivor when I get a chance.

Makes sense if there are 72 vent slots.

72 vents and 30 are black.....

I'm wrong above. 30 slots are green in the center which means 72-30=42 black slots.

So 21 are black on each side and 30 in the center are body paint. Now I remember that the person counted 21

The aluminum block off plate is painted Semi gloss black. The screens for the air grabber are orange.

You might have your painter black out the core support or folks on here will beat you up.

Looks good. Please don't take this the wrong way, but if that's a blue interior, the door metal (& quarter metal panels) should be a darker blue than the B5 the body appears to be. Basically B7, but if you need codes, I have them. Interior door colors "break" at the weatherstrip.
Black int = black
White int = white ('69-'70)

Actually I need the info. It is the two tone blue interior. Was the dash frame the same color?

Dash frame, steering column, ashtray & windshield/headliner garnish had a flat "suede" textured finish similar to 600-grit sandpaper; DuPont code 9612LH "Majesty Blue". A-pillar, back glass garnish, console were a lower gloss, 9643LH Baltic Blue Metallic. Door/quarter metal, 4983L Baltic Blue Metallic. These are all original Dupont codes, but R-M was also a supplier and there are Ditzler codes as well. Defroster ducts BTW were not suede but low-gloss (molded in color); not an exact match to the dash color but close. Interior gloss was generally a bit less than the exterior paint on the door/quarter metal.
