So first couple passes out this year with new dart and 340 have been good. Started in 11.80's @ 112mph. From there we went up 2 jet sizes and and dropped plugs heat range from RC12YC to RC9YC. 340 responded well and ran a tenth faster. So last weekend we set timing up from 35 degrees to 37 and installed the caltracs mono leafs (caltrac bars already installed). First pass out was a 11.71 @ 114mph and then I got these 2 timeslips.

Yellow slip doesnt have all increments because an altered took out the sensors before my pass. Bummer cause Id like to see the all numbers. Heres the 340! Enjoy

Mind sharing your combo? I've got a 340 coming together right now, and I'm curious to hear what your combo is.

Thats good... but dont stop there.. if you jetted up
2 sizes and it picked up then go 2 more till your MPH
starts to drop then back up 1 size... then after you
find the sweet spot then advance the timing some but
watch your plugs..... good job

Not too shabby, have you tried 34° timing yet? All our SB's love it. Making a timing and spring change together you really can't credit either. Just my .02

I would have said 34* or so also but with my last
SB it liked 39*... we didnt go higher.. I said 39*
was far enough... so test, test and test... dont ever
think that should be it...........JMO

Timing started @ 35. I dont think the mono leafs changed et much because 60fts stayed the same. I was looking more at the mph for the hp increase. 112mph then 115 now, same DA @ 1000 ft.

Good deal! I started out with a 71 scamp that had a mild 340 in it, ran 11.70s at 115 at 3200 pounds, lots of fun and very streetable!

Sounds like you've got it dialed in pretty well.
What converter, gear, tires?
Experiment with squirters and acc pump cams. Tune for best 60 ft, then jet for MPH

its got a spec-rite 4000 converter with 4.56's out back. I think the squirters are pretty good put 37's in & have pink pump cams. I think that I really need to play around with the caltracs & QA1's, I would like my 60fts in the upper 1.50's.

Actually if the MPH went up you are making more power
so the 60' should have dropped some if it was hooking
up right... like I said before.. keep going fatter
till your MPH drops
