Looking for a set of the six pack repro carbs. Ebay sellers have them at $1200. Is this the going price? Thanks

Moparts member Scott Smith with Harms automotive in Spokane, WA is a mopar repro carb. specialist. I've never bought anything from him, but I know he / they are highly respected in the hobby. I doubt their the cheapest, but it may be worth looking them up. http://www.harmsauto.com/

I ran accross this thread while searching for a place to buy complete 340 six pack setup.
So where do I find a complete six pack set up for my 340?

SteathWedge67, Thank you for the supportive comments! While I often have 4 barrel carbs in inventory, I do not typically have any 6 pack carbs for sale, I do restore them though so if the OP finds a good used original set I can make them look and run as good as new. My standard price for restoring a complete 6 Pack setup is $799.00 and I'll replate all of the small intake and linkage parts at no added cost. So, if you can find a decent deal on some old crusty originals you might end up with a restored original set for similar or maybe a tad more money. One thing to consider is that the originals will retain thier value much better than the replacements will if you ever sell them.

About $1100 and change, plus free shipping from www.summiracing.com for the 340 carbs, which are the better choice whether your running a 340 or 440

Sorry to hijack this thread, but I'm helping a friend research moving from a 4-bbl to a six pack on his 440, so have been combing thru old threads. This is the first time I've heard it said that the 340 carbs are a better choice for the 440. Can anyone confirm this, and elaborate on it? Thanks for any help.

slightly more CFM's if memory serves...
340 or 440 carbs are basically the same CFM, however the 4791 340 center is rated at 355 CFM, rather than the standard 350 CFM rating
I generally prefer the 340 end carbs for the larger air bleed orifices as they help promote earlier opening times than the 440 end carbs using the same spring ratios, that's the only difference, other than that, the carbs are very similar
