Your increments are right in line with the wallace calc. Shows a 12.14 at 109 mph !/4 mile. Your exhausts are way too small, there's at least 2/10 there. A friend of mine had 383 Satellite, reasonable sized solid cam, ported stock heads. Ran best 12.8 He uncorked the 2.5" exhaust went 12.4 same day. Mick

Your 60 isnt that far off, IMO. But, it is off a little.
Trust me...work on the front end first, then add Cal Tracs later, if you need to. Cal Tracs are nothing magical by themselves. If the front doesnt allow weight transfer or the rear unloads too fast because of the front...Cal tracs will do nothing for you.
With a good 'Vert your combo should go mid 11s with ease....As mentioned should go 11.70ish at it sits.

His 60 isn't far off .05 at most I think, the converter isn't that big, and the car is probably pretty heavy. Also sounds like more of a street car than a dedicated racecar. Cal Tracs and freeing up front suspension travel will help in the traction department.
Good luck with it.

Converter, cal tracs are for quitters IMO, I've been much faster hooking much harder without them.
Very insightful suggestion right there........

I respectfully suggest that they never made a good converter. And I did have one for a number of years. It 60'ed O.K. , but left a lot on the track. A real converter will get you the most bang for the buck in my opinion.........irrespective of what our friend from Janesville might say.

In case I wasn't clear before I was stating two different thoughts earlier. I think it needs a real converter (1) and Xal Tracs I think are for quitters (2) mainly on cars at this performance level. I go quite a bit quicker on SS springs with my little grudge car and plant hard enough to lift the fronts on and off track with a 367 full weight street car.

front suspension is all replacement stock parts, poly bushings, no swaybar never had one, factory 318 torsion bars and 14 year old cheap parts store shocks. 73 up a body discs with pin calipers, 6" wheels with 165-80 tires. the rear has subframe connectors, espo 1" drop springs, dr diff relocators, b body rear, qa1 single adjustment shocks, 10" wheels and pinion snubber a little over an inch from the floor.
i do drive the car on the street but i don't expect it to have a c body ride and still hook so i am open to about anything except back halfing it with ladder bars. in other words i want it to hook and run hard first, how good it rides is a distant second!

How much front end travel? How loose are the front shocks?
IMO, snubbers=a nice door stop.

Cool. No harm , no foul. For the performance level you are at ( O.P. ), I think ladder bars is gross overkill. I am using S/S springs on my deal.....no snubber and decent shocks. I should be making laps this spring after a major re-do , so we'll see how it works. But you are right......guys have gone awful fast on them.
