Im adding a reverse light on my 70 cuda now that i converted to a 4 spd. I cant seem to find where the light wire goes. At least not on my wiring diagrams. So reading your post it goes through the firewalll to the engine compartment ? Were does it go from there? Sorry for the post hijack

The harness from the trans switch plugs into the bulkhead connector right below where your wiper motor plugs in. A pigtail wire comes out of that connector and plugs into the one from your dash light. That comes through the firewall with the heavy black grommet as pictured in the other replies.
