is this a 5.2/5.9? or 4.7? I don't remember when they ditched the 5.2
if you have a 4.7 I can't help, because I have no clue.
if you have a 5.9, then yes, you can "short belt" it and bypass the AC. however, it's not as simple as just buying a non-AC belt. For some reason, dodge changed the position of the idle pulley between the AC and non-AC brackets, and the factory non-AC belt won't work, but there is a belt that does work (I just don't remember the length off the top of my head)

The diagrams Im finding show the belt just by passes the compressor
Yes, it just bypasses the A/C pulley, but trust me on this, you cannot take a non-AC belt, and put it on an engine with the A/C bracket, and expect it to work, because the location of the idle pulley between the alternator and the A/C pump is ever so slightly different between the 2 trucks, and it will not work unless you remove the Alternator/AC bracket, and replace it with the factory non-AC alternator bracket.
there IS a belt that will do what you want, but it is NOT the factory non-AC belt that the parts monkeys will look up by year/make/model/engine in their computer.

I used a Dayco 5060900 belt and bypassed the A/C. It is one rib short so you have to make sure all the pullies have the same rib exposed. This is what my local Advanced Auto had in stock when I needed it, thus why its 6 rib instead of the normal chrysler 7.
Buying a normal Non A/C belt is WAAYY to short. Also, getting a belt that will put the tensioner in the middle of its travel is also important.
Outcast Dodge guy.

so the 884K7 was the factory non-AC length belt?
sorry. I couldn't remember the right belt off the top of my head, and that guy posted "884k7 works" I thought he meant that was the right belt for bypassing the AC compressor.
