i bought steering gear from steer gear when the engine starts up steering wheel goes to left . when i steer the car right let my hands off of the wheel it turns to the left buy itself the car is on jack stands some one help me or call me 717 372 5893 thanks nick

With the car in the air you need to properly center the control valve...

Looking at the steering box, the control valve housing is the part with the hoses attached... Slightly loosen the two 1/2" bolts that go straight down through the housing into the steering gear.... Now, engine running lightly tap the housing forward or rearward & you'll see it changes where the center position is... By carefully working with it you'll find the proper location.... BTW when your close snug the bolts & then with the steering wheel pointed straight ahead fire the engine up while watching the wheel, if it stays still your done, if it "kicks" in one direction or the other your still not quite there...

BTW when starting the engine make sure your hands are clear of the wheel as if the valve is way off center the steering wheel can spin hard enough to break your arm....
