360cuda OP enthusiast 3 Joined: Jan 2007 Posts: 208 North Texas	A couple of weeks ago, my brother was driving his 2001 Ram 1500 van with a 318. It started blowing fuses on the ignition spark circuit. He replaced the fuse several times to get it home. Now it will not run at all. What will cause this? It's getting fuel. Can we bypass the fuse to the coil and make it run? He has replaced the computer, and the crank sensor. It is no longer blowing fuses, but has no spark.

T Joined: Jan 2003 Posts: 21,076 Niles , Ohio	I replaced a lot of coils on those.I wouldnt hot wire it though.You could have a major melt down.Pull the wires that feed the coil and ign on see if its getting power.Coil might have shorted inside.Rocky Chrysler Firepower

poboyengineering mopar Joined: Jan 2007 Posts: 685 pennsylvania	if i remember correctly, the asd relay powers the fuel pump, injectors and the coil. another lead goes to the fuel pump. if the relay is shorted, it will cause all kinds of trouble like this. just a thought........ It may be ugly, but it sure is slow. Girls comb their hair in rear view mirrors and the boys try to look so hard....
