Anyone removed kingpins latly? Is there one side that you are to drive pin out from that holds the kingpin in?

I remover my king pins when I installed a F.M.J type front K frame..sorry not being a smart a$$ but the old king pin type of suspension and drum brakes just didn't make it with big power..
