Lefty OP master L Joined: Sep 2005 Posts: 6,516 Santa Cruz, California	I have not installed a lift off fiberglass hood since the 70's. Back then I used three Dzus fasteners down each side of the hood. It never blew off, but would buldge above 100 mph and make me nervous. What are you guys using now days? It's going on a 66 Coronet.

Cab_Burge I Win C Joined: Aug 2003 Posts: 43,157 Bend,OR USA	It really depends on the scoop and how much MPH the scoop will see SS hemi type scoop at 120 MPH stays on my car nicely with 6 Dzuz and the two original hood hinge arms bolted to the sides of the hood. At 135 MPH the darn Hemi SS scoop is trying to rip the hood off of the car I only have two bolts holding the front of the scoop on the hood due to running a six pak originally, it might've been better with four bolts on the front like the original 1968 SS Hemi scoop are Mr.Cab Racing and winning with Mopars since 1964. (Old F--t, Huh)

I have had my streeter 62 up-to 5400 in high-gear with a 2.76 gear .... with FOUR PINS at it was fine. But I did have some super-trix Mr FLAPPERgas bracing in it ...
