I purchased a set of aluminum sheet metal valve covers and a pair of breather/oil separators that will also be used later down the road when I install a vacume pump.So my question to you all is,,,,,,where is the sweet spot to install the breathers on the covers. For now the breathers will go from the valve cover to a puke tank for each side.
I'll post some pics later.

I would want them as far forward as possible and as far away from a rocker arm tips as possible, not symetrical I would also put a baffle under where they are The bad thing about putting in two breathers now and then having to seal them up later with the vacume pump is why do it twice? I think I would run the covers I have now and use the new ones later when the vacume pump went on But I'm lazy also

The best place to put them is as high up and away from the rockers as you can get them.On the cast covers they were located at the top and in the middle similar to the old F/D setups.Make sure to use baffeled breathers.

The Moroso oil/air separator is quite tall with baffleing material in the middle.

I have a few sets but those long bolts are a pain so on my latest set I opened the bolt holes on the tubes to let a much shorter allen head with a washer.
I do not like the look with the bolt tubes sticking out so the next set I may cut them flush with the cover

Went looking for hardware today and came up with nothing
Had to massage the firewall to get the right side cover on.The left side, had to modify the throttle bracket that bolts to the side of the blower.

Fred,we sunk the allen head further into the tube, just not as far as you did.

And, they include a tire sidewall scouring pad. Nice!!!

Hemi-itis, you can see here where I put my burndown breathers. Never picked up oil in those locations.

Have to remove the P/S shock bolt to remove the cover!

I mounted mine high and in the rear by the firewall. Hate looking at the breathers myself!

Who's covers are those?

No, just Stage V cast aluminum covers that were powder coated to look like Dow coated magnesium.

They are AH-SO covers
I'm thinkin of moving the shock bolt hole outwards towards the tires. Will that mess up the geomotry??
