so at 6.2' the front seats are driving me nuts. And there is no recline setting so i'm forced to sit upright like i'm in the 60's any ideas to recline the seat back? my thoughts so far were to add a block under the front seat bolts, or cut the seat back and weld to a better more comfortable setting... ideas?

Drop the $500 for a 6 way seat adjuster, they are available on the web. Tim

Look on eBay and CL...I found 2003 BMW M3 seats in black leather for my 70 Dart at a whopping $250 pricetag. Made brackets for the seat tracks and popped em into the factory holes but really moved the seat back 4"...I am 6'5 and I despise the factory seating arrangements....
I sit comfortable even now with custom cloth seats (velour) from a Porsche 944 Turbo...Lumbar support, airbag technology...I think they were out of an early 90s model. Suits me fine

i would prefer to make something either adjustable or actually cutting the rear support arms and welding them back at a better angle, and would prefer to use the original seats without adding power 6way, would like to keep it factory as my car came.
If it makes a difference, the factory 6-way is manual, not power.

True but the 6way base does raise the seat higher, if he is having an issue now this may not make it better. Also it doesn't recline the seat , it tips the entire seat back , may or may not be what he wants and $500 to TEST it out is a lot ...

But he could tip the seat back with a simple block of wood.
Cost virtually nothing, totally reversible, and doesn't raise the seat like a 6-way.
