Hi to all seasons greetings...wish to add a second rear caliper to my dana 60 ...currently have wilwood 4 piston dynalites...foot brake car,unable to hold...(wilwood dynalites in front as well)..looking for suggestion...products installation ease etc.... thanks.. pat 8 inch convert.4.30.. 10.5 w's

I'm not seeing a kit for mopar housing ends, you'll likely have to make the bracket

You would be better off with drum brakes to hold you
at the line... drum brakes cam the shoes around and
lock better when standing still... disc brakes work
better when rolling and use the heat

My dad got a setup from strange. If I recall correctly he was very happy with it.

5300 rpm

Using the biggest brakes ever made would probably still come up short. It is not the rpm so much as how the converter works too. My 6500 stall would probably flash to 6700 behind a 572, and only half the output torque at 5300. The same converter tightened up to stall at 5300 would obviously make max output torque at that rpm. Why do you want to stall so high?
On what brakes to use, adapting the absolute biggest, widest drums you can find is a start. The master cylinder needs to be as small as you can use with the system, for leverage. There are 7/8 bore master cylinders available, but the peddle travel might get very long, to the point of having to go bigger on the cylinder size.
The shoes will need some work as well to stand the extra load. Check with the roundyround crowd for the best brake shoes and parts. I don't know much about that but heard there is better stuff made for circle track racing. You may even be able to go as far as having a set of shoes custom lined for you. There was an article some years ago on setting up drum brakes for foot braking and hopefully someone with a great memory will chime in.

I use a 2nd caliper in the rear but as an E-brake but held my car at 5500 testing it.There is a topic on it"hydraulic E-Brake" about 9 months ago.

Why can the brakes not hold to 5300? I work on a few turbo cars that can footbrake to over 5000 making 7-9 lbs of boost and not move an inch. All you have to do is get the right converter and a dual setup for the back and you can do what you are wanting to do no problem.
