I have taken my freshened up Ray Barton 572 Hemi to Kammmer & Kammer in Huber Heights Ohio to have dynoed. Anyone want to guess the HP #

MP Cast iron 4.5 bore
Callies 4.5 stroke crank
Oliver 7.1 rods
13 to 1 CR gas ported coating on skirts & top
Stage V custom heads raised exhaust ports 2.375 Ti intake valve
Heads flow 466 & 293 @ .800
RB custom cam .812 intake lift
RB rocker arm system
RB crossram with twin 970 hollies

It will be on the dyno at the beginning of the year then going down in my 68 Dart 727 trans brake 4.10 Dana. Care to guess I keep you updated

PS I was told the motor made 920 HP with a single 1250 Gary william Dominator I woundering if the crossram will add to or decrease the HP?

With dominators and a tunnel ram I would say 900+

So with the 970's and a cross ram I say 850

Is this a true cross ram or is it the Ray Barton one that's basically a tunnel ram with a tiny bit of offset between the carbs, kind of like the SS HEMI one?

What was the motor in before and what it run?

It should easily make enough to get into the 8's....

With a regular crossram (not SS style) and mild cam, I'll say around 920.

That cross ram will make less power than the single . The engine will work great either way , but we should take bets on how long the 727 last before it splits in two .

Jeff Russell can build you a trans that will live. Merry Christmas to you, Brian. I hope to see your car sometime next year (that would mean I would have to get my own junk running again).

What 1st gear set did you put in the 727? 2.45, 2.28, 2.10 ?
And did you upgrade the input shaft and hub it attaches to?

I run a full rollerized 727, no issues. The killer is nitrous that puts the torque through the roof! Thats when stuff starts to break.

I made it to the shop today @ K&K in Huber Heights Ohio today. A big thanks to Bob & Ted Kammer and Greg on the Dyno. Well it made 895HP @6500 RPM & 781 TRQ @ 4700 It looks like the unmodified Ray Barton Crossman lost 25 HP, ran it to 7000RPM HP fell off slightly. 112 gas and best timing @ 28 degree total. I'll post Dyno sheet later.

"but we should take bets on how long the 727 last before it splits in two . "

My 572 Wedge B Body at 3550lbs.with single 1250 Quickfuel and Brake has not broke my 727 yet(500 + passes so far) but it also has all of the A&A goodies in it and I check it every year!

"Going in a 68 dart 3400lbs with me in it ET & MPH????"

My heads do not flow anywhere near what yours do and I am able to run mid to low 9"s at 100 lbs. more than you so I would think high 8's should not be a problem.

" best timing @ 28 degree total."
Is this typical for a Hemi ?

We run a 727 in our Duster running 7.60"s in the 1/4.
496 cu in and spray a 500 shot off the brake, we also come out in 2nd gear. No trans problems. JIM

Hemi's dont like too much timing, most get 32 total, so 28 is realistic. Tim
