If the P/W ratios are close, traction and driver skill will be the difference. That Nova is probably very light. A bone stock 375/396 with headers and slicks will run 12.20s. You have not given us anything on his set-up, and with limited info on your stuff, I don't have a lot of confidence in your 425 hp.

Mopar2ya OP member M Joined: Jul 2012 Posts: 63 Ontario, canada	The 454 is stock, i just got this engine and the builder says its 425hp on paper, never been dyno'd. The Nova is my buddys car and it does run real well. My engine guy says the 340 should blow him away, but who knows until we get them out in the spring.

My dad was in a 70 Mach 1 with a 428 or 429(?) and my uncle in a 340 dart. Neither walked. Apparently pretty even race. Don't believe motors were much over stock

You may have decent hp, but torque is the name of the ball game here. Also will this be a spirited street run or track run? Street I give it to you with a decent driver mod.
