A tip you ask? The best advice you can get? From a guy putting 15 lbs. of boost on a stock bottom end with cast pistons for 3 summers:DON'T DETONATE IT!!!! Old recycled junk like i have,or real racecar parts,it's all the same physics. Go conservative on the timing and have a happy life. 8:1, 15 LBS., 21 deg total intercooled,no drama. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BVlmtgYb72U

The converter will have a lot to do with your cam, operating range (power band) and gear selection. Once you get the cam/gear figured out call Turbo Action. I would also recommend a Snow Performance Meth/Water injection kit. It's an easy install and can save your pistons. It also allows you to run 93 instead of 110. You also might want to consider an MSD boost delay box. This allows you to adjust the timing. Say you have it set for 36* you can drop up to 4* per lb of boost.
As for a cam grinder... There are a bunch that can get the job done. Scott Brown comes to mind...

I have a comp cam roller in mine and it was an off the shelf grind and you should be able to find something to fit your needs.I have been using a PTC vert 9.5 and has been very reliable.I am sure you will have lots of fun making boosted HP.

Give Scott at SDCE a call. He set my carb up and it was good right out of the box. I might have jetted the rears a size or two, but It was Go to Go. He will need all of your engine/car specs. http://www.sd-concepts.com/documents/moparsuperchargerkits.pdf

You will need an O2 forsure depending on the $$ you have for the rest.

You really need a E85 tester, I've seen the same brand of E85 vary from 70% to 90%, depending on the time of the year That will really goof up your mixture, especially under pressure
