Did you see an gains in 60' doing this? Did the rotating weight it add matter or make any difference?

Made no difference on mine. They add a few lbs but being able to change tires any time you want, wherever you want makes it worth the cost. My buddy does them here is a link.

One day I will have something cool here.

if you are using tubes now you may notice a little improvement with the bead locks.but as stated in the second post they are great for the ease to change a tire but do add a little weight.

Beadlocks are heavy. Does your tire manufacturer make a beadlock tire in the size you want? I doubt you are going to see an improvment in 60' by adding over 10 lbs to your rotating weight.

Well they are on our small tire car. However look at 99% of the Comp Eliminator or the faster SS cars and see how many of them are using them? It will ad weight in the worst place possible and that is rotating weight. You also wont find them in the alcohol classes either. They are popular in TS and TD as well as S/G, but are they needed or make the car any better/quicker, IMO that is debateable

Liners weigh even more than beadlocks.

I don't have them on my car yet but on my buddies D/R Chevelle he lost nothing in the 60'. He used to have occasionally tire shake that shook so hard the it would trip the on off switch. Since installing the beadlocks it has never shook the tires once & also is now much more consistant.

Beadlocks are the BOMB!!
Trying to find some reasonably priced 15x14 but not many around!
My dragster was more consistant when I switched to beadlocks. IMO it liked the extra weight directly on the contact patch...
I may have to give your conversion buddy a call!!

Also an option.

Ya thanks, much better prices there!!
Seriously considering single beadlock so I can change my own tires.

you would still have to break down the other bead. Single beadlock just confuses the tire. Dbbl or nothing

I wondered about that. Breaking a bead is no issue but don't want to confuse my tires!!lol

At that point I would just buy new and sell what I have to offset the cost... Problem for me is 15x15 is too big. Have not found any 15x14. Wonder what a 14-14.5 tire would do on a 15x12 beadlock??

I use 15x12 now. tried tubes before but it 60s better without them. Just wondered if the little extra weight on rear tires would help. Logger shows im sitting spining just a little
