Thanks for the reply I figured it would be light but that still sounds like a good combo.

Thumperdart it would definitely fly just shaving a 100 pounds off makes a huge difference let alone 500 or so

I havent finished sorting out my low deck build.

499 with ported sr heads stock block filled with aluminum caps.
probably gonna be 13.5 compression on E-85
Just need to get a cam picked out for the combo.
I am hoping to go 9.60s on motor at about 3200 and caltracs.
Then I can use the fogger

I`ll get there...............your combo sounds mean and the right roller cam should yield good results.

440 Jim, has, i reckon one of the best running combos on this site, Cudadon, Dom and Prosport's old dartsport aren't far behind.

I would have to agree with that.

Thumper that would be impressive if you can get it to run 9.50s
whats your car got underneath it cal tracs?

Yea i am thinking in the low 700 lift range with some 1.6 rockers for the cam should run alright

I would also have to say "Thumperdart" has one of the best running combo's here on Moparts. And I was really impressed with "ProSport's" old Dart Sport combo as it ran great for what it was. Ron

Would that low deck block be of the aluminum KB variety

Cab yes it is a KB block, but it is a low deck one We have been 8.0's with it at 2900lbs a bunch. Never really sorted it out well for the all out stuff, needs more gear and looser converter. Throttle stop racing is what we do with it. 10.90 at 160 is fun I still run it all out once a year at the MATS. Dont even bother talking the stop off or switching converters anymore just turn off the timer and we still go .30's usually with the DA around 3500-4000' Makes good power and has been a pretty reliable piece, Checked the lash twice this year and adjusted nothing just put the covers back on it. Changed the oil three times and still have the same plugs in it. Gonna put in new plugs and valvesprings and ready for another year.

I think I remember that piece on Jason dyno a long time ago when Chris had it, it shocked me on its power Thats what got me intereted in running B1 Now if the economy will pick up a little bit so I can spend some money on my toys

Thank you and Prosport really motivated me to build a small motor and see what my dumb azz could do with it and so far so good. I expect to see high 9.50`s soon w/just some weight removal and the timing fix and carb tuning Cab turned me onto..............

Dom you really need to bring that thing to the MATS this year. True Street Challenge is calling your name. Need to contact whichever magazine does this deal. Would love to see you come and take that deal.
