get the correct handle and if necessary drill the shifter for the handle

I believe the '68 B body mechanism is the same as the later OD trans mechanism so you should be able to use the correct stick for your B body.
Check for the number 6353 stamped in the reverse (long) lever.

here's what I got in my '69 coronet: the stick is actually the factory stick out of a 1980 chevy malibu, 3-speed car that I used to own. it has the EXACT same bends as a '69 mopar stick but is quite a bit shorter overall. I really like it.
