I'm trying to decide what shifter handle/knob to run.

I've got a non-console bench 68 Roadrunner, a Hurst push-in shifter body off of a late 70's OD truck.

What options do I have ? I know I'm going to run a Hurst white 4-speed ball for sure...

I've seen the straight Hurst S/C handle, and the curved handle for the bench also. Some pictures would really help my selection. I'm not going to do a pistol grip on this car.

Thanks...

get the correct handle and if necessary drill the shifter for the handle

I believe the '68 B body mechanism is the same as the later OD trans mechanism so you should be able to use the correct stick for your B body.

Check for the number 6353 stamped in the reverse (long) lever.

Here are some pix of the shifter we are using. We had to bend it a little due to hitting the knuckles on the dash..... Now it works just fine!!!!

I suggest a curved, bench seat shifter stick. Nothing fancy, just one bend, but it needs to clear the bench when in 2nd and 4th gears with the seat pushed forward:

here's what I got in my '69 coronet:

the stick is actually the factory stick out of a 1980 chevy malibu, 3-speed car that I used to own. it has the EXACT same bends as a '69 mopar stick but is quite a bit shorter overall. I really like it.
