My tranny builder is a Dynamic converter distributor and It appears that I may be in the market for one. My current TA 10" unit flashes to 3500 rpms and I love it. I am curious what you street guys/gals are using with the above 9.5 converter.
I am wanting to see if he will increase the flash up to 37/3800 for me, but I wanted to check to see what you members are currently using. My traction is good in warmer temps so I don't want to go much higher. But if I am going to pay the extra $ for a 9.5, I want a little more rpms for the money. What flash rpms are you running on the street with this converter and a SB? Thanks

Your question does not have a reliable answer because Dynamic custom builds most all of their converters to suit the application. One 9-1/2" could, and most likely is totally different than the next.
I run a Dynamic 9-1/2" behind my 451, and it flashes to about 4200. But again, it was custom built to my cars spec's. Call Dynamic and talk to Shaun, he'll get your car & motor's spec's and your goals and build to suit. I think they generally run around $650.

""Call Dynamic and talk to Shaun"" My trans guy is a business partner with Frank Lupo. The two of them will spec out my converter, but it sounds like the stall may be in the 35-3600 range.
""I was going to hold on but might sell."" Thank you for the offer, but I will be given a warranty on this rebuild and I would assume that a used converter may void that warranty. If I find out that the converter is my only issue, then I may contact you.
I am still interested to see the flash ratings of the 9.5 users with their SB's on the street Thank you all for the replies.

I am getting closer! My tranny builder just quoted me a Dynamic 9.5" unit. He spoke with Sean at Dynamic and they decided on a 3800-4000rpm unit for my setup. I hope to get my tranny and the converter in the next couple of weeks.
Thanks again for all your replies.
