But I am not ..this is a old trick been around for many years. takes tension out of the rings and they do not last as long. Not something I want to take chance on in a bracket motor. I have seen many of them break also.

perfmachst member P Joined: Sep 2010 Posts: 170 renton , washington	hi, actually, they last longer, detroit went to low tension, metric rings few years ago , found more power, more fuel milage, less wear in bores. they make low tension rings for most engines. I've ran over 4 years on metric , low tension rings. over 400 runs. and they didn't break!!!!
