TrueTripleX OP super stock T Joined: Oct 2004 Posts: 1,060 Ball Ground GA	Body shop removed trunk torsion rods to paint car. When it came back, I place the rods back in the car with NEW sliders on the ends. Now when I close the trunk there is a MAJOR popping sound and after about 5 closes, the rod pops out of place and the slider get thrown off. What is wrong with this?

Here's a photo of '69 A body rods with non-slider application. The rod on the left of the photo is a Left rod. 7472252-28300018.jpg (54 downloads) If you don't see two dolphins, you need a vacation.
