I know that they only kept percentages on most options but didn't know if one of those was more documented.

Chrysler did track some percentages, but they would be for all Cudas, with the AARs lumped in. So, all we can do is count 'known' cars. I am aware of 154 column shift AARs so far. I had a J6 Bench-Column in the 70s when I was a teenager.
Bought a C7 Bench-Column in 88 and still have it. Converted it to a 4 speed years ago.
I've seen several of them over the years.
I have a column-bucket T/A also. Probably less of them around.

2 of the 3 AARs I looked at when I was trying to buy one in the 80's were column shift, one had a bench seat. My 71 cuda 340 was a column shift/bench and a 71 440-6 I almost bought was also. My 70 is a column shift with buckets.

A friend of mine bought a AAR about 7 years ago,was in a little town called Needles here in California,it was a column shift,bench seat car,original red paint/stripes etc.,was sitting for years out there in a backyard,,they haven't done anything with it yet
