Hi Guys. Last fall I converted my car to electronic ignition. I put a Mopar Performance Kit in it. I have not put many miles on the car since I made the change. Yesterday I took the car out and put about 100 miles on it. I looked under it this morning and there was a puddle of oil on the ground. There was oil around the distributor so I thought it was the O ring seal at the base. I pulled it and found oil inside the distributor running out the little holes in the bottom. Have any of you ever had this problem? Is there a shaft seal on it? How do I replace it? Any help would be greatly appriciated.

Thanks Scott!

No shaft seal. I would drive out the lower roll pin & remove the plastic collar & add 1/2" ID shims (locally or www.speedwaymotors.com has a kit of em for $5) to reduce the axial play to .005". Other candidates are excessive bushings/shaft radial play but you said it's pretty new, excessive blowby/clogged/wrong PCV

Well I think I found the problem. I put a set of new chrome valve covers on last fall as well. I checked the air breather that came with the covers. Inside it looked like an electrical knock out that was not completely knocked out. It only had about a 1/4 inch sliver that was open. So I am going to open it up all the way and try that. I am sure I was getting to much crank case pressure. Like everything made now days, no quality control.

Thanks Scott
