That is what I mean, the shades are definitely different.
The funny thing about science is that if you change one miniscule parameter you change the entire outcome to the way you want it.

My '67 R/T is a red-interior car and I'm going through this right now.
The interiors actually used three different paints; the suede finish on the i.p., column, etc. The low-gloss on plastic panels and console, and the gloss on the inner door frames.
According to the '67 Dodge shop manual, the Ditzler code for the gloss paint is 71545, even though it was given a different name for different models. The Chrysler code, however, is different for Medium Red (Coronet/Charger) than it is for Dart (Cardinal Red). I wonder if there was a misprint in the manual because I purchased some paint to the Ditzler code and it is isn't even close to the original color. It is a burgundy where my car is more of a coppery/orangish red. I ended up color-matching to an oversprayed section of the door that was covered by the panel.
Just as an FYI, the color of upholstery from the aftermarket (in my case, Legendary) is very good. Also, the touch-up spray that you can buy in the rattle can (code 520, I believe) is very close to original but it sprays out very flat and if you try to clear it the color is changed. It would be nice if the people that supply that paint could make it in a gloss version.
