A friend with 35+ years in the frame and alignment business says vibrations over 60 mph are usually tires or wheels. Has he swapped wheels and tires or just tires from possibly the same balancer?

Yep, the outer bearing on an 8.75 and dana 60 for each rear axle shaft is lubed by the gear oil.
I don't think so. Mine has an axle seal between the bearing and the end of the tube where the gear oil would come from...you have to pack your axle vearings with grease or they will burn up. I have the "Green" sealed bearings anyways...not that they are worth it. I also have a vibration that starts about 75-80 mph. I think it is in the rear end differential but am just trying a different set of wheels and tires this weekend? We'll see? I wonder if it could be the clutch plates in the sure grip being stuck together from sitting or something? When I push the car in neutral with the engine off, there is a clunking every revolution like something is sticking.

A worn out sure grip shouldn't cause a vibration in my opinion even at speed but i have seen them chatter & try to lock up when turning if they didn't put in sure grip lube along with gear oil. If its an automatic a converter could be the culprit.

The GTX is a stripper version with column shift manual steering and brakes and coded for an open 3.23. We have even changed out the complete chunk with one from a low milage c body and same problem persist. We have considered the driveline angle but why would it change setting over the winter? Only reason i could come up with is leaf springs settled a little bit but seems unlikely. I really appriciate the replies here guys!
I would change the U- joints
