This is the 2nd time I have broken the saddles that hold the U-joint to the pinion yoke. I had a spare set of saddles but now they are broke too.
Where can I find some of these for my 1965 Barracuda 7 1/4" rear end.

What else fits? any 7 1/4" rear end?

balance that shaft EDIT more thoughts, flange could be out of round(not likely) ujoint angle way off(not likely). Overtorquing the small bolts. any 7&1/4 straps will work for you & I believe any 7260 flanged rear will have what you need.

power braking and blowing that out might blow the sprag in the trannie?

Is it a slant?

OK so I found some U Joint Clamps at the local NAPA but now that it is all back together it dont look right to me............ It was the only clamps they had in stock and no listing for 65 Barracuda.
I am waiting for AUTOZONE to get some in they had a listing for this application.
Comments???

Looking at the one failed saddle, it looks like the saddle might be hitting something, and one of the bolts looks like it might be stripped.

The new saddles are incorrect and you need to get the ones that fit properly.

Those are the wrong ones ! Those you bought are for the large 7290 joint. You need the ones for the smaller 7260 joint. zYou may also have the bolts cocked or damaged.

How many joints have you gone through?

I bet its time for a new yoke.

If the yoke isnt true, youll never keep joints in it.

I used to care but....... things have changed
