guy's, will a empty 727 Trans. case locate the starter in the proper location to work with a manual trans. flywheel for a engine run-on stand?Thanks

it should the starters are all the same.i am using a power glide adapter flywheel on mine.

If it's a 130 tooth flywheel it should work since 727 torque convertors also have a 130 tooth ring gear I believe.

No problem. For guys that don't have an empty case or bellhousing, I made a small adapter plate that holds the starter, which is what I used on mine and have been thinking about selling them. The usual 10-tooth starters work with 130 & 143 tooth flywheels/convertors according to my FSM.
