Update;

1) Converter was sent out to Turbo Action, and they went thru it. They had to repair/replace a few of the "feet" or pads that the converter bolts thread into. They also said the ring gear and snout needed some attention. Converter is back and ready to go

2) Trans is out, and at CRT getting a once over to make sure everything is ok.

3) bought a new starter, B & M flex plate, and ARP convertor bolts

4) still have to pull and change the cam plug on the back of the motor ( when the weather breaks ).

5) Once the trans is back, i should have it back together in a few hours.

Thanks for everyone's posts. ( i forgot i posted this last year, Ramcharger found my old post, lol )

Don't forget to clean the new bolts in (lacquer thinner) as most have some form of lubrication to keep from rusting. Buy a small fresh tube of 271 (red) loc-tite. Tighten the **** out of them. And go have fun. Good-luck this year and I hope all goes well.

looking back, I probably didnt do a good job "cleaning" the convertor bolts before installing them.
They were not dirty, but I suspect they could of had some oil, debris, etc on them.
Lots of carnage for a inexpensive bolt,,,

Thanks guys ! ( thanks pittsburg )

Yeah, I've been away from moparts for a while. I looked back at your posts to see how fast the Belvedere was these days. That's when I discovered the post about the breakage.

Glad to hear the repairs are progressing. Any online videos or pics of the Belvedere racing lately?

Have all parts back.
1) trans is all fresh and ready to go, Thank you John ( CRT )
2) convertor re-done, fixed, and ready to go
3) new flex plate, starter, ARP bolts

Got the flex plate on, and will get the trans in shortly, should go quick after that.
I did replace the rear cam plug with the motor in the car, what a pain in the #$%$#%#,
