I tried to get out, pulled the handle, nothing, feels like its doing something, but nothing, I rolled the window down, pushed the outside button in, still nothing, move the lock up and down, makes no difference. The door is shut and just wont open. Has always worked fine. Today nothing. Anyone have any pointers of what I need to look at here, and if the latch is fubar, does a 4 door latch work on a two door?

Probably a plastic clip on the end of the linkage got brittle and broke off. I've never had the misfortune of neither inside or outside working. Latch itself is pretty durable, but they can get gummed up with stiff old grease. Some parts will be the same as 4 door, some won't.
