what are the stock jet sizes for 750 edlebrock carbs what color should the plugs be with pump gas in a 500 inch motor with an indy 2x4 intake I can't seem to get it close. Bill

On unleaded pump gas the plug porcelain should be white with a grey line about 1/16" wide down where the porcelain cements to the iron body.

with rnc 9y plugs they are a light to dark brown. timing is set at 40* locked in MSD with a 6al 2 box. that's where the motor seems to run the best. im running 100 in the front and 95 in the rear

Metering rods will make a difference too.
Stock 1407 setup is .113 front with a .071/.047 metering rod,and a .107 rear jet.

tryed less timing and the car slowes down.every 2 degrees it slows 3 tenths. Bill
