Well I was just talking with ou812 (Brian) which I
have his lifters in my engine.. I was looking at the
lifters at full lift and about 25% of the oil supply
hole was exposed but by rights its shut off so it really
shouldnt matter.... he told me to prime it and see
how much is coming out at full lift so I'll do that
tomorrow... if its loosing alot of oil I'll look at
having the cam base moved lower

i have to look at my reciept maybe it was 125. they grind the base circle for more lift so that should help your problem if more lift is what your looking for.

You`ll know instantly if it`s bleeding by or not as I went throught this w/my Isky Red zones which blead out of the oil bands in my stock un-bushed 400 block.........

I called Comp before deciding to go with Bullet. The kid I spoke with at Comp told me it could not be re ground as it was too big to start with. Told me to just buy a new cam. This after making numerous calls to Comp before I ever got to talk to anyone.
No I will not waste another call to Comp Cams again.
Mike I sent you a PM

Comp's like any other big company, you need to know who to talk to, Chris Padget and Tim Cole are good choices.

yup, factory 318 roller cam reground. was $120-150 IIRC and about $30 round trip shipping...that was about 3 years ago, turnaround was about 5 days for me, but I had them ship 2 day priority back so I could get it in the motor quicker.....

Cam Motion was 200 plus 1/2 the shipping a few years ago, I think the price varies on how much change there is to the cam

I talked to Bullet a short time ago and its still
$125 plus I might have them grind a bit different
profile based on his suggestions

Well I came up with a solution (I should say Sean
and myself did, Sean is the builder over where I will
be getting it dynoed)..I had him stop by my place
to see what was going on... the lifter bushings are
a little loose ... I'll have him push out the old bushings
and install new ones but leave them .300 tall...
this will correct the loose bores and the hole being
exposed a bit... that will still clear the tie bar
on the lifter..... right now there is way to much
oil coming out of the lifter bores... so doing it
this way I wont have to touch the cam...... so I'll
tear it back apart tomorrow and take it to him Monday...
the pistons are gonna be wore out just by taking
them in and out..... this is getting OLD

Mike, Bullet has re ground several cams for us. Tim knows his stuff and can "tweek" a grind to best for your combo. You won't be disapointed.
