Wondering if anyone knows how close duster or dart extensions are to a 67 cuda? Got a customer that just bought a notch back that needs lower qrt patches and extensions. I can buy AMD qrt patches but Alan at AMD said the early cuda extensions are in the works but have not been test fitted and are at least 4-5 months out. We both were wondering how close they both are as I need just the front probably 6 inches square of both sides. If they are close then we may buy either of them and cut a patch out to fix his rather than make them out of flat stock.

The funny thing about science is that if you change one miniscule parameter you change the entire outcome to the way you want it.

Markz is correct. I bought the dart ones. They are the correct length and they are the correct height and that is about it. Modifications that will need to be made include; they are not the correct width so will need to be sectioned and rewelded, the rearend of a barracuda is narrower and more tapered than a dart so this must be addresssed, and a dart has a different wheelwell design so the dart extensions are missing some metal(3-4") right up by the wheel well. The last part is not as big a deal as one might first think as all you need to do is go to your local ACE hardware store and buy some sheet metal, put a couple of bends in it and weld it up. It isn't going to be OEM, but it will do unless you are going for OEM Gold standards. In other words, the dart extensions are a good place to start, but a knowledge of bodywork is a good thing to get the desired results.
