It's a Mopar Performance block, possibly cast in 2006. You can buy one from Mancini for $2800.
When Chrysler started making the blocks again (had to build new molds and everything) they put the letter "M" behind the casting number to identify the blocks as MP and not a block from back in the day.
Someone else will be able to give you more details on this particular block.
R.
You are partially right, you cannot buy one from anyone brand new anymore. These are no longer in production since World products began casting blocks for Mopar.

A google search turned up this, it is why I said you could buy one from Mancini. Maybe it's a cached file and doesn't reflect reality, but take a look and see for yorself. http://chucker54.stores.yahoo.net/426hebabl2.htmlI seem to remember some casting quality issues with the pre-World blocks, that's why they switched. If it weighs 325# it's a World block. Someone else will tell you more. R.
