I just mounted a B&M shifter in my 62 Savoy and I went from a 4 speed to an automatic. The shifter is a rear cable operated and I was trying to figure out where to drill the hole in the trans hump? any ideas or pics out there???
Thanks

Place the shifter where you want it and if the instructions don't specify a measurement then the angle of the cable out of the shifter should locate the hole area for you.

Place the shifter where you want it

Put it where its most comfortable but still functional.

If it's a rear exit will the cable go through the old 4 speed shifter hole?

unfortunatly it wont go through the old hole as its forward of the shifter.I just dont want to drill any hole and find its exits out on top of the drive shaft or the exhaust.

Find a good spot under the car and drill up.

Biggest thing to worry about is not getting a sharp bend in the cable.
