I agree MSD.Mine with 6AL is 12 years old and no problems ever.My kid just did have to replace his Blaster with the 6 Digital. It was at least 15 years old and had tons of miles as does mine.Rocky

Good stuff here about the MSD coil... http://classracer.com/classforum/showthread.php?t=36302
interesting read and there's no question that an e-coil is the way to go but for a stock appearance, no dice. that and i don't think most of us would really ever notice the drop in performance. i got the impression the guy was just trying to push high $ stuff? i don't know, i'm not a bracket racer, just a 'poser'

Mallory promaster and accel coils are supposed to be the best with the mopar boxes and new rev-n-ator. Msd blaster coils work the best with a msd ignition.
Bingo!! But the production Rev N Nator works well with the MSD coils now.
The Accel coil does not do too well with the MSD6 on the dyno,I use a Blaster 3. I have tried the newer HVC2 coil from MSD on my dyno and under 7000 rpm with a 13 to 1 engine, the Blaster 3 did just as good. And it fits a stock bracket.

when you say HVC2 coil are you refering to the e-coil style boxy one or the e-filled can type that fits in the stock bracket (the one i posted a link to up above)? i'm curious how well they perform.... i would expect better due to no heat build up??
